I have a 1x12 the size of a Princeton sitting around loaded with an Eminence Private Jack and wow the Ghia sounded great. I swapped out the PJ for a CV65 which I like better, and it turned that little Ghia into a monster. Love it!

The Private Jack is supposed to be Eminence's take on a greenback. I think the CV65 is supposed to be closer to a V30.

The PJ is a 50 Watt Greenback and the CV65 is a Celestion G1265 style speaker and my speaker of choice. The CV65 is a good representation of that speaker. I did like the PJ, it did bring the volume down for home use and still sounded great.

Have had a few set ups w my CG 25th head V30/G12H30: Sounded great, lotta low end, loud, heavy to haul Gold 10: Awesome tone especially cleans, plenty loud to gig, thought I needed lower volume at the time Greenback 10: Excellent lower volume option, slightly less highs, plenty loud to gig, really liked it with overdrive and leads WGS Reaper 30: Came in 112 cab I purchased, was good but not exactly for me Celestion Heritage G12M: Currently using this... a little fuller than the 10s, lighter weight than most 12s, balanced sound and has lower dB rating to offer a slight volume drop if you desire that.

Howdy,
I opted for a 1-12 Z cab with my '08 Carmen Ghia head. After a year with Weber's excellent 12-inch AlNiCo Silver bell, I've settled on the Celestion Blue (AlNiCo) speaker. They're "dynamically equal". The Blue offers more complexity, while the Weber AlNiCo silver Bell (30 watt) has more bottom end and even better clean tones. You can't lose with Dr. Z's best amp.

I tried mine in every combination. I think my favorite combination was a Head and 2x10 cab (speakers would be taste of user). I used a pair of Eminece 10516.

I ended up with two blond "Shorty" cabs. The 2x10 has Z 10's and the 12 has the best sounding V30 i've ever heard. I don't even like the V30 all that much, but this one just sounds right.
