This question is for the more technical minded folks that know more amp designs than me (which is probably anyone on this forum).
Is it possible to have a higher wattage version of the Z-Plus (kind of like the Maz 18/38)? Just curious. I’m not asking or suggesting that the good Doc build one, I’m just curious.

I like the way you put that.

I'm sure you could build one. Double the power supply and output transformer. Use a larger chassis. Combo? OK, but 50+#!?!?!
Just buy two. Much easier, and if one fails you still have backup.

The Zplus is a higher wattage version. It’s as if you took the MAZ 8, converted it to 6v6, then doubled the single ended output section to 2x 6v6’s in parallel.
Doubling it again is probably possible, but like hrcapers said there would likely be some requirements that may not fit a standard z chassis, so better off buying a second Zplus... which would definitely sound amazing 2 Zplus’s side by side! Between the 2 you would have 1/4 power, 1/2 power (1 Zplus), 3/4 Power, full power! That would be a very flexible rig :^)

The Z-Plus is a really unique design for a production boutique amp. It has the MAZ Pre Amp section and the power section is sized for a single 6 v 6 tube in a Single Ended circuit, the catch is that the power section is run with the two tubes in Parallel. There is some very cool wiring to get the amp to switch from 15 Watts down to 7 Watts. The main point is that the amp is designed around one tube, or two tubes in parallel. In summary, It is not like the MAZ series or the Z-Wreck 1/2 Power thing. In order to increase the power the amp would need to be designed for a tube such as a EL34, KT66, or similar. In order to achieve that the Power Transformer would need to be re-sized as well as the OT. So to answer your question, the answer is yes. There is plenty of room in the current chassis if that ever occurred. I wouldn't anticipate that hitting the market soon

I would get a Fryette Power Station. It'll take the tone of the Z Plus and boost the output to 50 watts. I have one and they work great either to cut or increase your amp's output.

In principle, it would be pretty straightforward to just put more 6V6's in parallel, say four instead of two. Of course, the power supply and output transformer would have to be designed to handle it. It would be a fair bit heavier.
I was thinking about building myself a three or four tube single-ended amp when I found out about the ZPlus. Instead of getting into the work and risk of doing it myself, I bought the ZPlus as a safer bet. I love the concept of parallel single-ended amps. Not as efficient as push-pull, but lots of sweet second order harmonic distortion.
