Help!
I crunched the cable and bent the 1/4" connector on my variable boost footswitch. I have enough soldering skills that I can put a new end on, but does anyone know which wire in the attached variable boost cable is tip and which is sleeve? The internal wires are red and white, and the 1/4" jack got bent bad enough to pull apart the soldered connections inside so I couldn't identify which wire goes to which solder point when I opened it up.
Thanks!

It doesn't matter. Either way will work.

Will that affect the sweep of the "variable" knob? I'll give it go and see how I get on.
Thanks!

About 2 months ago my Labrador pup chewed the cable that went from the Variable boost to the jack....... I've been playing nothing but, the Z-Master since! I was doing a little cleaning and found the cable (in 4 pieces) and realized I had my Cure up for sale and this wasn't going to work for a sale! I contacted the shop and asked if I could get the cable with a connector on the end? For a few $ I have one coming! Thanks Dr Z and all the folks that work there!
