On November 7th, I have a pretty large gig at a 2100 seat auditorium. I've played here a few times back in the early 2000's and went in with a 40 watt amp at the very least. This time the Cure will get the call. I'll just mic it up (I hope). The musicians play in a "pit" in front of the stage. Of course, I'm just a little concerned about not being loud enough.
What's the biggest gig you've played with the Cure?

SC governor’s inaugural ball this past January in a big band.
Room was probably 250 by 150, maybe bigger.
I was playing a Gibson 336 to a MXR MicroAmp boost to the Cure (using an Emmy Lil Texas 12” speaker in the combo) miked into the PA with a Sennheiser 609.
It seemed to work just fine.

If you're playing in a pit, I can't imagine:
1) The cure not being loud enough 2) The cure not being mic'd.

If you're playing in a pit, I can't imagine: 1) The cure not being loud enough 2) The cure not being mic'd. It should be loud enough and there is no way to play that Hall without it being miced up.

I think you'll be okay, I've never come close to running out of steam with the Cure. I like to tilt my amp back when I'm behind a big band, especially in a pit. You should be mic'd for sure, like others said.

Advance the gig. I'm sure they'd be glad to hear from you.

I've used my Cure in plenty of large rooms.....always mic'd up. It's been plenty loud. My Level is usually at noon or lower. You'll be fine. Let us know how it goes!
