***Sorry All, edited for clarity...Hope this helps.
I currently have my various Dr Z Heads all going into an ABC box, that out into a single 8ohm Z-Best cabinet (2X12). Just to make it easier to play different heads at different times without plugging and unplugging each all the time. I've removed the battery from the ABC box (the Morley Blue one) (it only controls the little red light showing which channel is chosen anyway). This method works great, so far.
My question...Can I use an Airbrake after the Morley ABC box output, and before the spkr cabinet, to control the overall volume of each head, as each is used?? (Between the "out" on the ABC box and my speaker cabinet) I don't think it should make a difference, but I've never used an Attenuator before, and don't know what could change/damage them, if anything like this.
PLEASE NOTE: I only run one head at a time, I promise!!! Just don't want to plug/unplug every time I try a different head.
thanks so much. Bill.

Yes. You have it right. You’re good to go connecting between the abc box and speaker.
I keep thinking I should have a box. I still connect/disconnect cables. Sometimes I forget which is plugged in and turn on the wrong head.

Awesome, GuitarZ...thanks very much...Just a little paranoid. Appreciate your assistance.
And Yes, the Morley ABC box saves a lot of time, not to mention reaching behind stuff, moving heads around, etc... I found one used for about $40...definitely worth it.

When you say you only run one head at a time, you mean only one head is powered up at time, correct? That’s crucial because if you turn on a head without a load (speaker or load box) you can fry the output tranny.
If only one head is on at a time then I think your setup would work fine.

Hey! Not to rain on your parade, but isn’t the Morley abc designed for guitar signal levels (preamp level), not post power amp level?
I was thinking most amp/speaker switchers have built in loads. When I was reading about the Morley, it talked about switching your guitar across multiple heads.
My gut says the Morley’s guts are circuit board rather than being speaker gauge wires. You might be able to get away with it, but possibly not unless called out it’s okay per the Morley instructions.

Mike...No worries with the "rain". Constantly learning on this end. Will look into this, for sure. Thanks for any input. That's why I come here. Much appreciated!

OK, all...Picked up a used AB. Opened up the guts, just out of curiosity...really not much to it...well...except it kicks A$$!!!!! The AB is in line with the heads and ABC box...(Different Heads >ABC box > AB > Speaker Cabinet, as previously discussed), and Sounds absolutely awesome!!!! (So far, so good. There's nothing added (hum, hiss), or lost with the blue Morley ABC box)
Man, I love it with the Monza. Does exactly what it says it would...I can get the killer OD from the head, without my ears ringing for hours on end. Wanted to test it last night with the missus out of town, thru all the heads, but the tones in the Monza floored me, and I couldn't unplug the dang thing. (OK, and I wanted to catch some of the Nat'l.s and Packers games)
I love this thing. Kudos to the Doctor!!!

That looks good. A lot of the amp/speaker switchers assume that you want to switch amps in a live situation. So, you have loads built in which adds cost. I have an old Radio Shack stereo speaker switch box down in my pile of electronics in the basement. I was wondering why something like that didn't exist for guitar amps/speakers in a studio/home setting. I did not run across the De Lisle in my google searches.
Boom! You found it! Nice! (Edit): Actually, it says it does provide a load: "And as a precaution, the unused amps see a load." Double Nice!
