Title says it all. Had some loud time today, no attenuation or pedals. I forgot how awesome that tone is. My G&L Legacy is the only guitar that just SMOKES with all 3 amp knobs maxed. Gtr vol @4-5 for clean, 7 for dirty rhythm, 10 for leads.

While dimed(333 or 444) works with a strat, it, IMO, does not with a Les Paul. My LP has Burstbucker Pro's(7.87k & 8.17k) so it's not "firebreathing." 2:30-1-2 is as cranked as I could get it without it starting to mush out. Great tone too!

Same happenens with my Lollar Regals (10.7K), starts to flub out at 3-3-3. Rolling the bass back would probably resolve this for humbuckers.

I do have some P90s, the Wolfetone Mean/Meaner set. They are hotter than the LP hunbuckers! Same rules apply.

Still, 6 months after starting this thread, my G&L Legacy into the Z28 CRANKED, is just awesome. 12-12-12 with the Z Drive equipped pedalboard is pretty much as good.
I've been mulling over another speaker swap, because I still dont LOVE the Z28 with my dual P90 or HH teles, cranked, but today was a good reminder that i shouldnt mess with strat greatness. I think the G12H30 stays.
