Ventris very feature rich reverb. One can obtain some awesome ambient sounds with the Dual reverb engine. There are digital idle noise complaints when in a studio environment. There is airy noise that can be heard by the soundman with headphones. Here is a discussion on TGP, Roger Smith SA CEO, Owner responds. www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/why-i-sold-my-source-audio-ventris.2024691/page-5#post-28145364Here is a Reverb Plate test, Roger Submitted on TGP. www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/best-plate-reverb-pedal.2042729/page-2#post-28459720Something to know about Ventris spillover. If you are in a Dual Reverb mode, and then select an alternate Preset, Spillover is not supported and momentary mute is inserted during the new Preset activation. Single reverb engine Preset to Single reverb engine Preset switch, spillover is supported (e.g. Hall preset to Plate preset for example, power of the dual reverb engine) Here the Boss FS-7 is setup to Toggle Up/Down Preset, however Spillover is not supported in this mode. Spillover is supported by selecting a Preset from the Ventris itself or via MIDI. blueSky was still on the board until my Son was comfortable with the Ventris. Also, the pedalboard is configured for two Amp setup, last picture. Smart signal routing is supported by SA products (even the Gemini pedal). ztalk.proboards.com/post/886292One of the best Demos My Son is the Player, I am his tech and sponsor (I think I have more GAS than him), He has decided to go back to a Strymon blueSky. Soon the Ventris will be up for sale.

Thanks Dean, that is a good demo.
Anyone else have good or bad to say about these two pedals. Recommendations for better choices?

Loved the nemesis, but like the tides i always roll back to simpler pedals. It nailed the sounds of my El Cap and my diamond MLjr, so it kicked those off the board for a bit. But now nemesis was sold and the other two are back on. such is pedal life.

I had a Nemesis. It’s a great delay, especially for the money versus a Timeline. I ended up going back to a Timeline due to familiarity, but I liked the engines a little better on the Nemesis. I’m now digital delay free though and using the Analogman ARDX20.
