After many years of buying gear (including pedals), I realize I really love delay pedals. So, now I want to start collecting them. I don't want to go back and get vintage pedals but start with cool variants of current pedals. I already have the following: - MXR Carbon Copy
- MXR Carbon Copy Bright
- MXR Carbon Copy Deluxe
- Dunlop Echoplex
- JHS Panther (original version)
- Tortuga Single Malt
- TC Electronic Alter Ego
- Strymon Timeline
- Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master
I also have a new Way Huge Aqua Puss (Smalls) en route and I'm going to order a Way Huge Supa Puss tomorrow.
What other delays do all y'all consider unique and worthy of adding to the collection?

Check out the Greer Black Tiger Delay. It's based of on old oil can delay, which I've never heard and don't even know what the heck THAT is. But it's a cool sounding delay. It's got about 600ms of available delay. The repeats have unique sound to them. I think its worth checking out, if you're looking for something different. Here's a demo of it by Lance Keltner
Here's a demo by Mike

Yeah, I guess what I forgot to mention was that I was thinking about some good, quirky pedals that are off the radar (like the Greer). Early this week I stumbled across the Way Huge Supa Puss and that's a little different than just a straight-up 600 ms delay pedal. It rang a bell when I saw it (I think I may have seen it in Premier Guitar at one point) but I had forgotten all about it. So, I guess I'm looking for the outliers that don't show up in a Google search of best delay pedals. I'll look into the Boonar & Flight Time. Thanks Keith

The JHS Pink Panther is also on the short list.

Cool. The Greer and the Boonar are exactly what I looking for. The Greer with its neat sounds and that 'Trails' switch I neat.
The Boonar is so cool. Never really noticed this pedal before and when I just checked my fantastic pedal dealer here in Canada has it in stock. Love the cosmetics too with the yellow casing. I think I'll order a Boonar on Monday and I'll have it on Tuesday 😎
Will ll definitely pick up a Greer too.
You can never have too many delay pedals!
Thanks Gents.

I also have a TC Flashback mini that's pretty great.

I like the Neunaber stuff, both delays and verbs if going the digital route. Highly customizable via software.

As a few others have already caught, I'd recommend that if you're collecting delays you definitely need:
AnalogMan ARDX20 dual delay Mad Professor Deep Blue delay
...and (surprised nobody's mentioned these), it'd be criminal to miss these classics:
Ibanez AD9 Boss DM-2 Boss DD-3 Electro-Harmonix Memory Man (whichever one of them is "the" one)

Oh, and since I'm spending your money at this point, you also need either real vintage examples of the following OR their modern-made counterparts:
Roland Space Echo / Boss RE-20 Maestro Echoplex / Fulltone Tube Tape Echo

I can get a minty one but at US$300 (approx.) I passed The Waza DM-2W is on the short list (lol..can't buy them all at the same time!)

Keith, we'll need a video of them all hooked up and operating. You might manage to open a dimensional warp

I've been happy with the TC Flashback series. I've got the X4 and a couple of the smaller pedals. They all have the Toneprint feature which is pretty cool. I know you said you don't want to go the vintage route, but I really love the vintage Echoplex EP-3 a friend gifted me with last year. It's the best sounding delay I've ever played.

The holy grail of Delay pedals has to be the original green MXR that plugs into the wall. That's what Keith Richards used starting with Emotional Rescue/Some Girls/Tattoo You.
I had one back in the day that got stolen!

As cool as that is I'm not really looking at that type of stuff. Compact pedals is where my mind is. Vintage is great....... if someone else owns it
