OK...so I am toying with the idea of adding a reverb pedal to my board. Just for a little added something. My Maz is a NR and for years I have just used a delay for ambiance. I would love a Strymon but simply can't afford the cost. What's decent in the $100-125 range? I don't need anything crazy as far as features or over the top. What are you guys using?

I've heard that the Hall of Fame pedal is pretty good. The mini is around $100.00.

So for your purposes (just wanting to try some reverb for a little ambiance) I’d consider the Hotone Skyline Series VERB. About $50, a mini pedal so it doesn’t take up much space, and they sound good. It ain’t a Strymon, but for just some simple ‘verb it’s fine. If you find you really like reverb and want to dive in to boutique quality, you can always upgrade. I use a Hotone ecko and chorus because I just wanted a little something (I had a Nova Delay and that was just way too much pedal for my simple delay needs) www.amazon.com/dp/B00H07H76G/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdb_t1_CAZjDbWCNBYFZEdited to add: I’ve actually flirted with putting together a small Hotone mini board as a simple, grab ‘n go board just for jams and sit-in’s (instead of taking my full gig board). I think the Hotone’s I’ve actually heard sound pretty good.

Another vote for the Hall of Fame mini or the full sized if you have the room. They both have the tone print feature, so you can try out lots of different sounding verbs.

J Rockett Boing pedal. It's a one knob Fender Deluxe Reverb type pedal. Easy to use, just like an amp. Won't more Reverb, turn the knob up. Less? Turn it down. It's got a huge knob on it that makes it easy to adjust it with your foot. I love mine and you can pick them up used for about $125.

Another vote for the HOF mini or full size. Toneprint is super easy to use and makes these really flexible.

You know, I haven’t found a TC pedal that isn’t - at least - pretty good sounding.

+1 for the HOF mini. Also, the Wampler Faux Spring Reverb mini is pretty inexpensive at $149 new, and does a pretty convincing spring emulation.

I use the TC Electronics Arena (variant of the HOF) with my Ghia because i found it for cheap on Reverb.com. (about $85) Any of the pedals mentioned are gonna sound pretty good for what you wanna do.

tc version 2 probably offer a more tweaked version of the pedal...Strymon is a natural sounding reverb and will spoil you for others...don't go too cheap mark.

The Boing has me thinking... It's so easy to use and if all you want is that cool Fender deluxe verb, you can't go wrong with it!

The Boing has me thinking... I tried the boing and the Catalinbread Topanga and also the strymon flint. I ended up buying the flint but returned it. I realized that the Z-Master sounds better without the reverb. The boing was good but very weak sounding compared to the topanga. The Topanga sounded excellent as a spring reverb. You may want to try the topanga. It was pretty impressive even comparing it to the flint it really held its own the boing was not bad though. It just didn't have the flexibility of the topanga.

Toponga! Very authentic spring Verb plus it will drip if you ever get into surf.

I run both the Strymon Flint and Fathom Reverb pedals on different boards and would select the Flint if I had to choose. However, I’m surprised no one has mentioned the Wet reverb pedal.

I have an original HOF and a mini. Don't care for them. I have two Topangas. One for at home and one for my pedalboard. The Topanga sounds better than the built in reverb in a couple of my amps. It does cost more than your preferred spending limit though.

Has anyone tried the Keeley Omni reverb? I've been thinking about one of those. A simple two knobber with room, spring and plate for 129 new.

How's the Topanga working out for you Mark? You like? Yes, I love it!! There's a lot on tap but I have it set to give me a nice warm sound, not crazy over the top...just a little added "something". It will drip and get crazy if you want it to.
