Hey guys,
I've had the ghia for a few months now and it did a lot of band practices and some small indoor gigs as well, and handled everything really well. Tonight I have a bigger gig, an outdoor show for St-Jean Baptiste (Holiday here in Quebec, Canada). So bigger stage, more volume (a bit), it will be fun to hear the Ghia perform there. It's usually a good growd as well, approx 1500/2000 peeps. Of course everything is miced, but it is always the on stage level we have to adjust, so should enough to push the Ghia a little, without being too too loud.
I'm heading out to soundcheck in a few, will report back later !!
Cheers!

So just as a reference, I will play mainly my Strat (2009 FSR) into the Ghia and the cab is a 3rd power 1x12 loaded with a WGS ET-90.

So quick report from yesterday's gig. This amp is a workhorse!!
I was running the amp around 12' and tone at 1'. With the Strat it was still fairly clean, and a nice pushed clean/slightly dirty with everything on full. I had the Keeley compressor almost always on for clean tones, and played with the KOT for all my dirty needs (lol). The WGS ET-90 is giving me more headroom, and I like it's ''neutral'' tone for lack of a better word.
I usually always finds little things I don't like at full gig volume, but this rig performed perfectly (for me)
Oh...and a nice plus that with the Ghia and 1x12 it is Sooo easy to carry in and ou the stage !!

im sure the et-90 was gutsy and clean....what do you mean everything on full...vol/pedals/amp and guitar?
Ghia is more than capable work horse alright...not a lot to hide behind...it does its part all the time.

Yea, I'm liking the ET-90 more and more and the Ghia is just perfect size/volume/tone amp for me. I should have been more clear when I said everything on full, I meant that with the Ghia's volume at 12 O'clock, With the Strat, I still had some clean headroom with the volume on the guitar rolled back a touch or just softer pick attack. With guitar volume on 10 and digging in (This is what I should have said), it was the perfect slightly dirty tone.

You found the Ghia's natural sweet spot with those settings--11:00-1:00 on volume, 1:00-2:00 on tone. For me, anyway.

Below that on the volume it does sound good, but just missing a bit of bloom on the notes, and above that, still a great tone but maybe a bit less versatile and more of a one trick pony, but a great pony
