quirky film about a huge, unkown showbiz phenomenon.
very low key and slow film but i found that i had a personal connection because I noticed that one of the actors in the show "The Bathroom Are Coming" from 1969 was a good friend of the family when i was growing up.

That's always fun to recognize someone in a movie. I recently read where George Jung lives in Sacramento and hangs out, it would be interesting to meet that guy.

OMFG! I just started to watch this. This is GREAT! I have a little known secret, I really dig elevator music, or Muzak/Seeburg music. You know the stuff you heard as a kid while shopping for corduroy pants and either Kmart or Sears.

So, Tuesday morning I went and emailed Steve Young (the main character in the film) and he replied to me Tuesday evening. I told him how much I enjoyed the film and that i grew up knowing Dave Shelley, one of the actors in the 1969 production "the bathrooms are coming" (Dave and my dad studied acting together in the late 40's on the G.I. bill). Dave has two grown children living in Los Angeles and I asked if there was any chance of getting a copy of the 16mm film of The Bathrooms are Coming to the kids. He wrote that he'd love to talk with the kids about their dad's experiences in Industrial theater and that, because he doesn't own or control The Bathrooms are Coming, he would try to set up a viewing for them with the person who does own it.
I love trying to make things like this happen.
