The Epi "Limited Edition" Korina Amos / Joe Bonamassa Flying V. I've missed my Gibson V RI ever since I traded it about 15 years ago, and after checking out the reviews and the specs, I couldn't resist. This one is 7 Lbs 3 oz! I had looked at them several months back but nobody had 'em. I had Sweetwater email me when they came in and over my first coffee today I totally caved. Word is that the stock pickups are pretty PAF like, but my justification is that I've got an old DiMarzio Super Distortion pickup from the 80's that needs a home...It'll be here Tuesday.

That's sweet looking! I had an old Epiphone Korina V from the 90's. It never played very good and the pickups were not good. I ended up getting rid of it. I'm sure they're much better these days.
I ended up buying a Gibson V-98 about 6 months ago. It's not Korina, but it's still light weight and has a similar look.
Is that the Amos model?

It's the Amos. I've never had a korina guitar either, so that's another justification...Thanks!

Cool. I hear those pickups are nice. Please let us know what you think after you have a chance to play it.

I've been looking at that for about a year - curious what you think about it.
