Anybody ever tweaked the settings on The Doc’s brakes? I haven’t done it for a few years, but I need to brake a little harder, bring them down to a lower volume for my old and defective ears for home use on a variety of amps. I don’t want to wear hearing protection just to rock at home. I use the Doc’s brake lites on a number of amps - old tweed Fenders and old Voxes (works great!) - as well as on my Z amps! Anybody have any experience/caveats in shifting the settings around on these resistors? How do you tell which direction is the right way to move? Is there any danger of damage to the amp in shifting these to higher resistance (more braking)? Inquiring minds want to know!
Any insight will be appreciated.
