2 enthusiastic thumbs up.
Just released on Netflix instant but filmed in 2016, i'd never heard of it before...
I think it's a great rock n roll film because: a) no rock critic talking heads; only band and crew members
b) lots of good live music (all of the audio sounds great. put it thru the stereo and Turn it Up!)
c) both Ronnie and Keith appear to be relatively sober
d) some of the most intimate moments of the band captured since Gimme Shelter.
almost got me weepy at moments. wish i was seeing them here in May but the tickets were just too much $$.

I gotta check it out. Another good one is "Charlie Is My Darling" , from their early days touring Ireland.

Well, not directly related, but a gent dropping off some porch furniture that my wife got powered coated painted said "Well, don't tell the company, but I'm going to take some time to go on tour with the Rolling Stones as a stage hand". He wasn't BS'ing.
I'm guessing he works for one of the stage or sound companies in Lititz, PA. It's a little town in Pennsylvania Dutch Country (an 1 1/2 hours west of Philly) that houses Tait Towers (stage company), Clair (sound company), and Atomic Design (music and stage backdrops). They're all the real deal working across The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, U2, etc. I never knew the all existed until a year or two ago.
The trailer looks cool! I wonder if the Ole', Ole', Ole' staging is Tait Towers. They say they've been doing the Stones for 19 years.

I wonder if the Ole', Ole', Ole' staging is Tait Towers. They say they've been doing the Stones for 19 years. it could be. if you watch the movie, you'll see that they left nothing to chance in setting up the final tour show in cuba. every bit of equipment from shipped in from the States
there's an interesting bit where they interview a woman who repairs guitars and she talks about the scarcity of everything in Cuba to the point that they refurbish strings and people even make their own strings.

Thanks for the tip. I really enjoyed that Stones movie. Now that I'm signed up I'm gonna watch the Keith one. Netflix has a whole lot of original music programing.

Ok, get ready to throw bricks at me. I’m pretty well over The Stones - I love Keef and put him on the very short list of most influential guitarists.
But the Stones live just don’t do it for me. They’re one of the few bands that can’t seem to play live at less than 180 bpm - regardless of the song. Which is amazing because Charlie is a human metronome.
