OK, so I recently purchased a like-new Dr Z 1x12 extension cab, to go with my MAZ18NR. Question:
How do I connect it so that I can utilize both speakers?

Welcome to the Forum, and +1000 on PCNS. Todd does a great job, builds a solid product and is a joy to work with. I've got a bunch of his cables and they're top shelf products.

Any idea if this is just as easy as doubling up the wires at the end with the male phone jack going into the amp and then being careful about impedance you're running? I have an extra speaker jack that I wired up years ago that is just like the two wire set up that comes in the Z's. I used to use it as an upgrade when I had Fender amps. It would be cool to add a ext cab.

Two things to watch out for, first use the same impedance speakers and second keep them the same efficiency if you want them to be the same volume. Two 16 ohm speakers in parallel will equal 8 ohms, and two 8 ohm speakers will give you 4 ohms. And don't short circuit the wiring!
