Hey Folks
I'm thinking of trying a WGS Reaper (not the HP) in my Maz Jr. I currently have an ET65 which is pretty good but a little but undefined in a live mix. Anyone have experience with the Reaper?
(Strat mostly)

I've used the reaper hp and thought it sounded good from the start. I would like to try the reaper's just the experience.

A reaper is a clone of the G12H30....a speaker that has big bass and crispy highs...but at the expense of recessed mids. Not something I like for a live band situation. To me, the speaker has too much crispy high end. It can be hard to dial out. But the deal breaker is the lack of mids. The ET65 is like a greenback without high end. It has a big dust cover, which cuts out a lot of treble. (and not in a good way to my ears)
The lack of mids of the reaper/G12H30 in my opinion makes it difficult to hear in a band situation. They sound great playing alone in the basement or recording, but I don't like them for live situations.

I agree with John. I've used the regular Reaper and the original G12H30 that came with my Maz. Too thin and whimpy in the mids when playing live. I use the Reaper HP and it beefs it up some. Really like it.
That sais, I'm going to re-visit the Greenback type speaker next gig with a Scumback M75 65 watt. Should give an even fuller sound.
