Is the Nova self biasing or will it need a trip to the tech for a tube change?

Maybe the good Doctor will answer that one himself. I’m sure you could contact customer support for that answer also. 👍🏻

Doc told me that the Nova is a fixed bias amp, and it does need to be biased when changing the output tubes. The bias value is 28mA per tube. There's a trim pot inside on the board for this adjustment. Take it to a tech if you don't know what you are doing.

Z doc if your out there i am confused-on web page it says bias value is 28mA and here you quoted a range of 38-40mA can you explain this please Z

No not 38 to 40 mA, 38 ,40 Gain rating from New Sensor, that's what I request if get that rating you can plug the tubes in. But it is always best to check the bias .
