My oldest Son and I watched this the other night. Great movie. The Guy who played Freddie Mercury won an Oscar for his performance.

I've never been a fan of Queen's music, especially the title song, but I may have to watch the movie.

I enjoyed watching the documentary more than the movie. That's not to take anything away from the movie.

I wasn't a big fan back in the '70s, but they've grown on me. It's hard to overstate how good Freddy Mercury and Brian May really were. Looking forward to seeing the film.

Fantastic performances , saw on the big screen and was blown away. Really great flick. I was blown away at how much they really all looked like the actual band and the acting was really good I agree.

The Queen fanboi in me was really bothered by the continuity errors, and some of the other handwaving that went on in the movie (hello - NO ONE pledged Live Aid until Queen went on? Really?), and that's what bothers me in general about biopics and adaptations - accuracy is sacrificed in the name of making the story arc fit to standard.
However, I enjoyed the film nonetheless. :-)

I loved the movie, but the “artistic license” to give Freddie the diagnosis before Live Aid was just wrong on several levels.

Although I agree that the writers took license here and here with many facts, the film wasn’t meant to be a biography of the band, but more of an exposé of the band in general, and the insights of the man, Freddie Mercury. With that being said, we enjoyed the movie immensely and have watched it over again. It’s a film I would keep in my personal library.
This film gets my WOW rating!
