Does anyone have experience with either of these speakers? I currently have a WGS ET65 in my Maz jr (open back). Its pretty good albeit a bit bassy and sometimes a bit lost in the mix. That being said, I mostly play a Strat these days, using pedals into a clean(ish) Maz and don't want to get into ice pick land. Initially the Vet 30 seemed interesting with it somewhat forwards mids and nice clean tones (samples on the WGS site). The G12 c/s seems to be in a similar camp. So I can lose a bit of bottom end and be ok, as long as there is smooth and clear. I play jazzy pop, funk, R&B, classic, etc etc. No heads get bashed...

This might not help you, but I may have the best of both worlds; I have a 2x12 open back cabinet with an ET65 and a 12c/s. It has a lot of range, and I run my Maz18NR II through it with good results.

I have a Vet 30, but don't have a G12 c/s. I compared the Vet 30 to a Celestion V-30 and thought they have a similar sound, but the Vet 30 seemed smoother with a little less brightness. I ended up putting both the Vet-30 and the V-30 in a Fender 2x12 combo amp and they sound great together. But it made the amp too heavy. It's just become my (at home) practice amp now.
