Howdy New to the forum and looking forward to hanging here! Ive been a ZWreck owner for almost two years. I acquired mine from the Steve Miller collection along with a Vox 2x12 loaded with Blues he toured with so you might say its a bit broken in which is good. Love this amp and its versatility as a plug and play rig. I'm having great success using it along with my PowerStation 2. This amp loves the pedals and particulary a Hot Cake "KometCake" version ive had for years. Ive been a fan of the DR's since early 2000 and have owned a Route 66 along with a Mazerati. Cheers!

Welcome! You'll find this the nicest, or at least one of the nicest places to hang. Plus you'll pickup some great info along the way. Did I say welcome?

Welcome - as the others said, a lot of great people and information to be found here. There's another member of the Forum that has Steve Miller's former KT45 - wished I'd have picked that one up!

Wow!
Thanks everybody for the warm welcome!
Just a little background- I'm currently in a old school country band that throws in a bit of blues and rock. Guitar (me)/ fiddle/bass and drums. We play when the gigs occur as all of have our day jobs. That being said our fiddle player tours the nation with his other band. Before having the family life I was gigging in a all original band opening for many bands including Neville Brothers, John Cippolina, Steven Bishop ect at various venues. Ive been around and have never set down my guitar Thanks again! Cheers!

I guess this place is a slow moving river of tone. I get it. But I'm stoked to be here and talking about my zwreck. Kenny welcomed me to the Trainwreck family way back. Spent many hours talking on the phone with him and considered him a long distance friend which many others have experienced. So I can hear the DNA between DR and Kenny. Which is why I have the Zwreck. I feel that Dr Z is making the most modern amps with the organic feel of the classics but remember with a Z you need to relearn turning the knobs! Cheers!

I keep going back to a C Gold in my Wreck combo. I tried a lot of other speakers and it always ends up with the Gold. Dr.Z says the true voice of the Wreck is an open back 2x12 with a Celestion Gold paired in series with a C Blue, both 8 ohms, for a 16 ohm load. It sounds fantastic but it's too much for a lot of what I do. I'm gigging my Z-Wreck at church this morning and it'll have the Brake Lite on 3 clicks with the volume control at 10:30 or so. It'll be mic'd up too (SM-57). Great, great amp.

Wow playing a Z Wreck at church! That's a flip!
I want to join the congregation!
I do need to check out the Celestion Gold as I have been remiss in that endeavor.
