My Delta 1010 audio interface is all TRS jacks. I get static on channels while recording from time to time. Other cleaning methods were hit and miss. I finally figured I should buy some real stuff and got a deoxit assortment pack.
Why did it take me 40 years to figure out the stuff really works? I agree. bada boom! And, the drums go bada boom now too instead of ba..zziz,zizz ..da ..zizz zizz, bom!

D5 is better than nothing. OK it is WAY better than nothing, but Caig also makes some other products I like (and they recommend) to use with it. I use D5 to clean pots and then a shot of F5 Faderlube to re-lubricate the carbon surface. For vacuum tubes (especially NOS tubes) I buff the pins with Scotchbrite, clean them with D25L and then apply Deoxit Gold G5 before inserting them. I use the same Caig products in the sockets. I have never had to do anything else for the life of the tube when doing this. D5 is good for contacts and as a quick fix in other areas.
