Today was a good day. I took an amp I wanted to trade to the local GC. I was set on an acoustic, but wasn't really sure exactly what I wanted. So I thought the best thing would be to go out and actually play a bunch. Then pick the best one in my budget. My trade value was gonna determine how nuts I could go. I gave my self a trade + 250 cash limit. While they looked over my amp and came up with some numbers I had the acoustic room to myself. It was quite a good time. For the first time I actually remembered to bring a tuner and pic! I should point out that I currently didn't have an acoustic. My last was a Taylor 314 several years ago. Today I played some nice Gibsons, Martin's and Taylor's. It was a really fun afternoon. Once I held the J-45 Studio I immediately liked it. It's got a slightly thinner body and felt really comfortable but still sounds huge. The neck has some chunk andfeels great. It plays so nice. It came home w/ me and I walked out with a cool hundo payout. This one has a spruce top, mohagany neck, and walnut sides/ back. You can really strum on this guy without it getting muddy.

Nice Nicholas ! A J-45 is on my shortlist as well. Love the natural finish on that one

I love J-45's. Maybe more than most Martins and other Dred style guitars. I think it is significant that in the Line6 Variax acoustic I used to have that they chose to model a D-41 and a J-45.

Gotta give this guitar a little more love here! I'm just a few months in and I still absolutely love it. Fits me like a glove. It plays and sounds so good. What a nice guitar. If you're in the market for a excellent acoustic for a great price.. give a Studio J-45 a whirl. Beautiful sounding. Easy playing.
Working on some Jason Isbell tunes. So glad I got this guy. Gonna play it until it's dust (or I'm dust, one way or the other)

Awesome. I played a great J-45 at the Nashville factory store years ago that I loved. Couldn't buy that day, but played every J-45 I came across for the next few years. Never found one that I really liked like that first one. Great guitars, just never "the one".

A Z-talker reached out to me via PM about the J45 studio. So I shot him a quick cell phone demo to hear it. Figured I may as well share it for the rest of you. It's a great guitar!
