I'm not a huge user of delay, but this new one from Strymon looks really interesting. Not out yet. Price is $399; high, to be sure, but some of the pedals from other builders that do just one of the delay types are a couple hundred bucks new.

There are some attributes a delay has over a dedicated reverb pedal I like...

Having a very difficult time NOT preordering this pedal. Already sitting on an El Cap, a DiG, a Flint and a DECO. I can't help that they all are really good at what they do! And this looks like a fair price considering all that it offers. Dang!

Just a follow up: It’s worth the asking price!

Funny--I just bought a Lex. Should be here tomorrow. It's an eight-year-old design and I've already owned it at least once (maybe twice). But I really want to get that Leslie sound into our setlist in a couple of spots. I'm pretty much maxed out on delays, though.

But I really want to get that Leslie sound into our setlist in a couple of spots. I'm pretty much maxed out on delays, though. One can NEVER have enough delays 😎 Funny--I've currently got four (El Cap, Dual Deep Blue, TC Alter Ego--the cream-colored one with the illegible silver lettering--and a TC Flashback mini. I have owned many others, from a DD7 to a Timeline and all points in between) all on separate pedalboards, and here's what I use: slap/doubling, and a slower tape-style background delay, both to fatten up solos. That's it. I don't know what to do with dotted 8ths, etc., even though I've got that capability, along with a ton of other delay types I never use. Also, yes, I'm aware that four pedalboards (PT Jr, Metro 24, Nano and Nano+) are ridiculous and completely redundant but seriously, they all come in handy for different stuff, and as I tell the beloved spouse, at least I'm not smoking crack.
