Reviving an older thread. I'm looking at one of these and would like to see if anyone since 2018 has owned one.

I must try one as well…… i’ve had an original 69 846, a Buddha buddwah, and to many others, time to check out this Friedman
i think the best of the batch were the 69’, Buddha and 535Q.

I looked at getting one. Got a BMF wah, while figuring out if I wanted to order the Friedman. Have not looked at another wah since the BMF landed on my board.

P90s, humbuckers, HSS all sound great with that wah.

The wah is very versatile it can get pretty much any wah sound you are looking for. From shaft like 70's funk styles to heavy thicker wah tones. Its def a great wah.

I looked into them earlier this year. I liked the idea that the Friedman Buffer Bay is included in the Wah.

I have about 7 wah pedals, some pretty expensive, and I don't think you can go wrong with the current standard dunlop cry baby. My "chasing tone" thing there was a friend who had one of the original vox wahs, and that thing was perfect.

Earlier in the thread, from the wayback machine in 18' I mentioned I like the 535q. Oddly enough I still do! I like the Xotic wah too. They are interchangeable to me. As long as a wah has an adjustable sweep (Q) and range adjustment I'm probably going to like it.
As for the SB pedal does that have a global gain pot inside like the Dirty Shirley pedal? I used to have the DS pedal and it was pretty useless for me unless the internal gain was way down. I do have the Buxom Boost and that's a good one. It's sort of like a tube screamer that you can adjust the bass tightness and eq it flat if you want.
