I tried different speakers and personally I dig the stock Z-12. The G12H is pretty forward with it, and if you like brightness it might be the ticket. But at gig volume levels I think it might be a little much, especially if your standing directly in front of the amp, in the "Cone of Death"... What kind of guitar/pickups are you playing? Are you using a long guitar cable? That can drain treble fast.

Straight in. No effects. 10 foot george l cable. I've actually had the Z speaker and tried it extensively with the EZG-50, Z-28, MAZ 18 NR old style, MAZ 18 NR MK 2, Z Lux, JAZ, and the z plus. It just has too much low mid- upper bass. With the band especially it just gets too warm/thick and interferes with the bass player frequency.

Part of the crispy highs of the G12H come at the expense of mids. It's a rather scooped speaker.
