So, observationally, it feels like a outsized percentage of Gia users on this forum tend to play some mix of “blues” or “blues rock” and while I can respect all of those genres, I don’t feel like I play any of them straight up. More of the “college rock” of the 1980s and 90s mixed with the “alt country” boom of the early to 90s. Much more rhythm than lead by both guitarists, kind of thing. After owning the Mini Z and Maz18 and finding neither to be quite right for my playing long term(although the Maz did my country gig solid for 5 years), I scored a “cheap” Ghia last week. Put it in the Mini cab with a Gold and all of a sudden it makes sense. It’s the sound in my head. And it’s not blues. At all. Speaks to its versatility across playing styles or at least mine these days.
Carry on.

With a greenback 10 and a 3 piece back cab, I can achieve just about anything I'm looking for. I always keep the tone at noon. For country, open back cab and volume at 1 o'clock. For rock and blues, closed back, volume at 3 o'clock ish.
I have a Maz 38 SR 2x12 combo, the Mazerati 30th anniversary LE and the carmen ghia. My Maz is always going to be my baby. I love it dearly but, the ghia can cover so much ground in a small package, its hard for it to not be my favorite.

My youngest son uses my Ghia to play punk. That amp will do a lot with some tweaking.
It also really lets the voice of the guitar come thru, Z28 is the same way.
