Currently running a WGS Reaper HP, which I like but think it has too much bass. The G12C is WGSs redo of the Jensen C12N, so feedback on experience with it or the Weber equivelant would also help. I dont find the Z28 to be a bright amp, and that's a bright speaker. My Z28 has huge low mids, and that speaker has some high mids but is still somewhat scooped. On paper it looks like a good fit....as long as the bass is tight and not too present. Thoughts?

I put reaper hp in blues jr years ago...good fit cause jr had no bass...recently put the g10c in my ghia 110...just nicely rounded out tone, more balanced...a little more headroom...American tone for sure.

What I keep coming back to is, my OLD Z28. It was a 2x10 combo with Dr Z blue label speakers. I liked it better. Same tubes, same amp, 9nly difference was those speakers. Inherently, 2x10s sound different than 1x12s, and the Z12 speaker is different than those Z10s. Those Z10s are Eminence made 75 watt ceramic American sounding, loud efficient speakers. Like their Rajin Cajuns.
My Reaper HP is great but too bassy. I NEVER take the amps bass knob past 10 oclock because of it. I think the G12C would be great, but its not lacking bass either(on paper).

I think the wgs g12/10 series is the cajin equivalent?...fwiw...I went with wgs...and to add...talking to wgs about purchase (guitar ctr) said they would take it back trade/reimburse if didn't work out...boom.
