Ok, I have heard stories from reputable people that getting "Matched Tubes" is not a valid description. In that when you order matched tubes the do put them through a process but they don't come that way from the factory. They just go to a bin, pull the tubes you want matched and get them as close as possible. The ones that don't match go back in the bin for the next order. I am looking for the most reputable tube dealers that offer the best matching techniques possible and have fresh supplies of tubes. Where do you go for this?

Your are correct in your assessment of the matching process. There's never a perfect match, and if there was it wouldn't last as the tubes age. They will operate with slightly different current requirements throughout their lifespan. That said, I've had good luck with Tubedepot.com and Amplified Parts (also owns Antique Electronics). For strictly NOS, KCA NOS is a good source.

I have bought tubes from them a few years back with no issues.
