Not too long ago I thought I had my rig set. I had a sweet axe collection: Goldtop LP, American Deluxe Tele, HSS Strat, and Duesenberg Starplayer TV. I had a sweet pedal board, a Dr. Z Therapy, and a Swart STR. I soon realized I was partial to my LP, didn’t give any attention to my strat or Tele, and the Doozy sometimes got attention when I could only take one guitar with me. I couldn’t bond with the Swart so it went bye bye. I simultaneously decided I would never buy another amp that wasn’t made by Dr. Z. The strat, Tele, and Doozy went bye bye. The Therapy went bye bye. And now I’m the proud owner of a Gary Clark Jr. SG (you gotta try one of these, the pickups are fantastic), a Remedy (my favorite amp to date), but things just got better. A beautiful Z Wreck is on its way. It came swinging through my collection like a wrecking ball, but I couldn’t be more excited or happier. I can’t wait to riff through this guy.
Do you have a Brake Lite? Might help getting all you can out of the amp.
i had a brake lite but sold it recently. I picked up an air brake in its place that popped up for $200. The air brake was causing breakup a little too soon with my Remedy. I love the air brake. I can’t notice a meaningful change in tone or response with the air brake like I could with the brake lite.
