Well, I've been wondering for a long time if I should post this here, but I've finally decided to do it. It was an idea that came to my mind the same day that Petty died: to put up a tribute to Tom Petty, one of my all-time favourite songwriters, artists and people, with musicians from my hometown, Granada (south Spain). In the end, it was the first tribute in Spain, as some more were organised in other cities, but this was the first. It took place on Jan. 13 this year. It was one of the best experiences I've had this year so far, overwhelming and passionate. It took a lot of effort to organise it, but it was worth it; all the help of the local musicians, the venue, lots of very generous people who gave a helping hand. We reharsed two or three times with each of the artists, and none with some of them!!! I had just overcame the flu, and my voice was even worse than usual, please forgive me. I provided my Maz 18 and my Remedy, and they were the backbone of the night's sound, it couldn't be another way!!!! Forgive the sound too, as it comes from a couple of video a photo cameras, but that's the document we have. Thanks for watching (if you do so!!). Here's the link:
P.S:FYI, I'm the sore throated guy who plays the Rick and Tele through the Remedy. Tons of tone!!!

Great tribute. He was and is one of my all time favorites. Quoting someone else "he was a three chord Picasso"

Good ! Love Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers! Their music will always be "good stuff"! Are you the same Andy from the JVM forum?

I am located in Granada, Spain, and I think that you can find me in a couple of Spanish forums an the LPF too, although my main activity is in here. Tons of tone!!!
