I'm curious to know your thoughts on these boosters. I have owned the Bad Bob for some time now and really do like it. The AM Beano boost was a little to much volume on tap for my room size and the amps I used it with were already on the trebly side. However, the Bad Bob worked perfectly.

I play through a z-28 1x10 gold and 1x12 ext cab with cannabis Rex. So far have only had the opportunity to play with brake lite on 4 clicks and volume of the amp around 9 o’clock. It sounds amazing even at these low volumes. The chasetone is special such that it kind of just give u this 3-d tone without being too loud. The bad bob at 9v is a nice little dirty boost.... even at unity gain it had this very pleasing light gain thing going.... at 18v it got much cleaner and sounded great as well. I have a lot of experimenting to do as to where I want the bob in my Chain, but the secret pre is going after drives before delay for sure

Really looking forward to your thoughts about the Secret Preamp. I had the opportunity to let the z-28 breathe a bit at home this weekend. Had the volume around 10-11.5 which is kind of the sweet spot for me with the gretsch. The chase tone secret preamp lives up to the hype. Just gives your signal life. It’s an always on pedal for sure! It makes my drives sound much better and I love what it does with my delays! The Bad Bob on the other hand is becoming my favorite pedal I own. Having it set at 9a-10a is more or less unity or maybe just a bit boosted. With my amp set in the sweet spot, the bad bob at this setting just adds such a beautiful and natural yet extremely dynamic grit. I can’t explain it. It just puts that stupid smile on your face. My chain is as follows for now: Mad Professor Forest Green Comp HW -> OCD -> Timmy -> Bad Bob -> Dunlop mini volume -> Diamond MLjr -> El Cap -> Flint -> Chase Tone Secret Preamp (awesome) -> TU-3 -> Ditto I see myself using the bad bob as my first gain stage. I have enough head room where if I stack with my drives before, I still get a nice volume boost. I am so extremely pleased with this pedal and it has definitely exceeded all my expectations. It inspired me more in 10 minutes than the tumnus deluxe did in the months I owned it. Pedal will be with me forever. When the bad bob is run at higher voltages (I tried 18v), it just gets cleaner and punchier. These pedals are just magic and will likely have a permanent place on my board.

Just got a Bad Bob to add to my KoT and various other pedals. It is really great. Now I'm curious about the chase tone secret preamp. Thankgs.

Love the Secret Preamp. No experience with the Bad Bob though.
