Any recommendations? I need something that doesn't add dirt--just a little volume kick for solos.

The Vertex Boost is the cleanest one I've heard Jon......zero coloration.....but I haven't tried it with an acoustic.

Barber Launch Pad. No color just boost.

I'm not really sure for acoustic guitar... but I think the XOTIC RC booster V2 with the treble and bass control knobs would be very helpful for adding or cutting highs and lows for an acoustic guitar. You can completely turn the gain or dirt knob completely off if you want.

This might sound like a crazy idea--though I'm going to try it next time I own a compressor (they come and go)--but what if you set the output on a compressor to slightly below your desired solo volume. Leave it on when you're strumming so the strumming is nice and tight and even, then kick it off when you solo. You get a bit more volume and a bit more touch sensitivity because the comp isn't trying to even everything out. Then kick the comp back on when you want to sit back in the mix.

I tried my trusty TC Mini Spark Boost and, surprisingly, it works fine--though the comp idea ^^^ is intriguing.

That pedal show did a few videos recently on amplified acoustic tones and pedals and it was surprising how a little bit (like super tiny) of gain/overdrive/grit really made the acoustic come to life, so I wouldn't worry too much about it being a completely clean boost.

I've used a Boss graphic EQ. You can adjust the level with the appropriate slider and if you need to, tweak frequencies.
I also own a Radial PZ-Pre which has a ton of tone-shaping and routing options but also has a variable boost.

There's a super cheap $80 Lizard Leg boost in the Sale bin below! Those are killer...and that's a steal of a deal!
