I'm having coffee and waiting for the Brown Truck to show up with my Nova today. It's a blonde 1x12 ultralite combo, like the one BW demoed at Z-Fest but with 'Wreck grill cloth. I can't wait...review to follow. WOOHOO!!!

Blonde with oxblood is my all time favorite cosmetic for a guitar amp. Very cool.

Take it easy on the coffee...you're probably nervous/anxious enough as it is!

Not yet, Doc...I got my new cables from Todd and Patty a few minutes ago, (Thanks again, you two!). Guitars are tuned up, I'm ready to rock. It's been out for delivery since 8:43 AM, rattlin' around in the back of the big brown truck. I'm at the end of their route I guess. It's strange, because usually stuff from your shop comes through Flint instead of Saginaw and I normally get it by noonish. Ah well, it'll be here when it's here. Thanks...I'll post when it arrives. I'm chompin' at the bit. It's going to get loud at Dave's in a little while!

Doc, it's great! I noticed that the footswitch isn't variable. I assume that's the job of the overdrive control on the front panel, right? I'll be back after while...

Have fun I would imagine the variable foot switch is only a tone stack bypass thing, whereas this one activates the overdrive stage...

You're a self-admitted OD pedal junkie, so I'm interested in your review.

The footswitch isn't a tone bypass like your MK II Dave so there isn't anything to vary turn on the clorious overdrive with a switch of the foot!

I love the lettering on it. Would love to compare the fx loop versus say the Db4 without one to see if it’s noticeable with the pedals. Obviously, both of those amps have an fx loop. Beautiful amps you have. I’m partial to the black/z-wreck cloth 😁

That's awesome Dave! You're a self-admitted OD pedal junkie, so I'm interested in your review. For the first hour it was guitar / cable / Nova. Then I plugged in my pedal board and while the Nova loves overdrive and distortion, it really does not need it. With the OD engaged, it blends the clean signal with an adjustable overdriven signal, so it keeps the clarity of clean with the sweet grit of great overdrive. Add a pedal like the Ethos TWE-1 or the Komet Koda and it's an absolute beast. But it sounds soooo good with just the amp's natural OD. I'll sleep on it, play tomorrow, and get to know the amp. Then I'll put my thoughts together about it.
So far, it's an A+. Another home run by Doc. Out of the park.

Ok guys, It's clean channel is Tweed in great big juicy bundles, and the overdrive is sweet, sustaining, fat, and gutsy. You know that feeling after a great big grilled cheeseburger with all the toppings, chased with a good, ice cold beer and the huge burp at the end? AHHHHHH. That's the Nova. I'm getting to know her a little and I'm diggin' what I'm hearin'. Been playing all morning, straight in without a pedal in sight. More to come...
