i watched it last night. very enjoyable. I agree. I was most impressed with their work ethic. Their behavior wasn't always exemplary but they sure worked hard.

The way they came up with songs in that shack they rehearsed in is what really impressed me. Considering the heat and the bugs and everything else that had to be tuff.

I finished watching this. Apparently they were all work horses, especially at the beginning of the band.
Their “shack” reminds me of where my band from the ‘80s played/rehearsed. We retrofitted old barn stables to jam in. Some of the best times of my life were spent there!

Just finished watching. Loved the band, enjoyed the movie. I’m kinda an obsessive person about things I like so there was nothing new there for me, but my wife liked the show. Finds it incredible that people could live like that! ME

I too was a huge Skynyrd fan and enjoyed the show. I have the Street Survivor LP with the "fire" cover....bought it the day it came out (that's what we did back in the day). It's haunting to look at the insert that has the full tour schedule and know that the plane went down after the 4th show as I recall. I feel that Ed was the best of the guitarists the band had, but dang, let's give Steve some cred. He pumped a lot of new life into the group with his playing, singing and songs.

I grew up on Skynyrd too,and loved the documentary.I had no knowledge before that they knew they were going down at 10,000 feet-that's not seconds, that's minutes of terror before the crash. It somehow makes it worse for me.
But as far as music-boy does it hold up,don't ask me no questions,I ain't the one, tuesdays gone, truck driving man-they had talent and songs, that's why they were great. And I agree Steve Gaines brought a whole lot to the table as a singer, guitarist, and songwriter. There's demo tracks on youtube he did of his stuff on street survivors back in OK,and it's not that different from the album versions.

I loved the show! Grew up as a kid in the south and all my friends were way into Skynyrd. Gary Rossington was a big part of the reason I wanted to play guitar.

Thx, I'll check this out. I have a copy of "Freebird...The Movie" from 1996 which is also pretty good.
