I am considering installing the Brake Lite in my Cabinet. I think I need to connect the standard 2 prongs in the cabinet to a 1/4" to plug into the unit and another to connect to the speaker.
Any ideas to simplify the solution?

Yeah, I know I’m late to the party, but no one else has bothered to respond to your question. Although I am not personally familiar with the Brake Lite, I will take a stab. Based on my assumption of what you are asking, I suggest: One—if you will be mounting it into a speaker extension cab, you will need to go from the speaker or speakers (with two-pronged slip-on connectors) on one end, and then into the Break Lite with a standard male 1/4” phone plug on the other end, as you loosely described. From there you will probably need a speaker cable with a standard 1/4” male phone plug on one end, and a standard 1/4” female phone plug receptacle on the other end. This cable will need to be long enough to reach your head or combo amp speaker out receptacles. Two—if you will be mounting it into a combo amp, just mount it inside the cab, at your desired location, being mindful of the connecting wire length, and then just plug the speaker cable into the Brake Lite and then the Brake Lite into the appropriate speaker out. Three—either way, you will need to know which (4, 8, or 16 ohm) tap to use for your particular speaker or combination of speakers. Four—Contact www.greatcables.com, there you will find the unofficial Z Family Cable Guru, and a 10% Discount on Cables - "Zamps" Coupon Code.
