I've been acquiring a few Fulltone pedals lately and added them to the gigging PT nano+. The mini dejavibe 2 and the choralflange are quite fun to use. The only gripe I have is the MDV needs 18V to run so I have to use warts for power. I own and use the OCD, FD3, Choralflange, SupaTrem, 2B and the MDV2. I'd recommend them if you're looking for reliable and affordable stomps. Most of the ones I have are ten plus years old and bought used.

I've got a bunch of Fulltone pedals, including the MDV and FD, and I'm using this for power -- it provides 9v and 18v. It's pretty much a glorified One Spot, but allows 18v without y-cabling to do so. It's about $35 on Amazon. Zero noise on my board.

I'm using a Cioks DC5 power supply which fits in the Nano boards. It has 18v option. But one spot does make an 18v converter. Might be an option for you. Never tried it my self, so no first hand experience.... Sweetwater one spot power doubler

I have a One Spot power doubler and also a couple of power doublers made by Xotic. They both work great. The Xotic doublers have a switch to change from 15 or 18VDC output. Some pedals like 15 volts.

My biggest concern with most of the 18V step up converters is the amperage. The MDV2 needs 500mA to run correctly and most of the converters only do 250mA. Hence the double wartage for the power source.

I was looking at my mini deja vibe v2 (the older white one), and I've got it plugged into a 9v output. Looking at my manual, it says this: "Inside the MDV is our DC-Doubler circuit which increases the voltage of a 9VDC adapter up to the original’s required internal 18+ VDC...in fact, the MDV can be powered by virtually any standard 9VDC adapter or pedalboard power supply" and "the MDV-2 has circuitry that converts the 9 volts up to 18 volts inside the pedal, using other than 9VDC will damage or destroy the MDV, and may cause a fire"
I've got my Fulldrive plugged into an 18v output, but the MDV is on 9v. So you may only need one 18v if you want to run the FD at 18v ... you won't need 18v if its a MDV-2.
The AGPtEK CP-05 Guitar Pedal Power Supply I referenced above only has one 18v output (along with 8 9v outlets and one 12v outlet).

The MDV2 needs 500mA to run correctly and most of the converters only do 250mA 500 ma? That's a lot. Eventide's pedals like the tinefactor use around 350ma. Are you sure it requires 500ma? That seems way way high.

I'm pretty sure it draws about 100ma ... the FPS-1 power supply that Fulltone sells with the MDV2 puts out 200ma to 500ma depending on the year of the adapter, but the pedal isn't using all of that.

Interestingly I don't see Fulltone stating the current draw anywhere. Did find this site which claims to be a database of current and voltage requirements for tons of pedals ... it says the MDV-1 and -3 are 100ma. Can't imagine the -2 is much different. stinkfoot.se/archives/1178

I misread the manual but it's still a super high current draw of 300 mA at 18V. photos.app.goo.gl/XLrBwZparkdvCAxk8The adapter they give you has 500mA on tap but it says anything below that will yield "meh" results. I may try the xotic doubler since I already have one.

Now that looks to me to be the bomb. The most useful of all the power supplies I've seen.

Yeah, that will run anything DC. I like how each output has it's own dip switches for several voltage options. Also the mounting looks better designed than the DC5. It looks like it mounts to the back of the board with a cantilever bracket, rather than screws through the top of the board.

I bought one of these because my voodoo PP2Plus would only run 3 Strymon pedals....

I've not yet put it on the board.... need to get busy and do that! I have the Ojai the smaller version. They are good power supply’s. I’m in the process of redoing my board again. I was actually thinking of getting the fulltone mini deja vibe mk 11 it’s his new smaller version but it will take up two spots on my strymon Ojai. Because it had to be run at 18 volts. Still not sure what I’m going to do. I am waiting on the kingtone mini or the vintage fuzz pedal to be released. I plan on building my board around one of those pedals.
