Hey guys. I recently picked up a Z28 head and ran it through an old 212 cabinet with cheap eminence speakers that's really not doing it justice. I think I want to upgrade to a Z cab. What cab would you recommend for the Z28 head? My band plays pretty loud rock music. I know that amp can get loud, but would a 112 sound big enough to be able to hang with the bass and drummer? Would the 212 or 410 be more ideal?

Welcome to the Forum - a lot of good people and information here. If it's a loud band either the 2x12 or 4x10. I have a 4x10 combo and it's pretty loud. Try the 3-3-3 setting - sounds pretty fantastic.

I use a Z 2x10 convertible cab that I bought with the head, but lately have been using a 2x12 closed back (not a Z cab) loaded with a pair of Weber signature 12F-s. These are lower cost ($60) Oxford replacements, American voiced, and to my ear sound very good. The 2x10 sound quite good, but not as full throated as the 2x12.
