You need at least one more Dr. Z amp over there!

As always playing sounds great Jim. I always thought the RX Jr. made more sense then the RX Extra Strength.
Loved the sound and the usefulness with the great Master Volume , too bad it didn't sell that well. Many dealers fell in love with it , but didn't sell them, a sad products story of its life.

Unfortunately these never seem to be available on the used market. Been checking for awhile, some EXs but no Jrs.

Unfortunately these never seem to be available on the used market. Been checking for awhile, some EXs but no Jrs. It is hard to search for the Jr's on used markets. Try all variants of RX, RXJR, Prescription Junior, etc. I found mine on Reverb last summer, accidentally...aka, providentially. Previous owner had upgraded to a stereo Stangray/Wreck setup. I wasn't even looking for one at the time, as I did not realize Doc made them. Once I realized what it was, I snagged it in a hurry. Love the Time Well Wasted album, and Jr version was just right for me.

Nice. I can only assume the drill on the floor is for changing speakers? Just asking cuz I have the same drill laying on the floor of my jam room next to my pedal board lol.
I like the oval hole JAZ. That's my favorite Z to date personally, but I'm always trying more...

Very cool tone and playing, Jim. You're burning that fretboard up at the end!

I'm in the process of assessing what Dr. Z amp to purchase. I'll be looking at used ones. I'm looking at used Prescription options, 18 watt and 45 watt. I'm in the EL 84 zone, having owned a Matchless Lightening 15 years ago ... what an amazing little and loud amp! I'd like to find something in this zone.
Will the Jr. have enough headroom for pronounced chime when cleaned up? I just sold my Mesa Mark V 35 to buy a used Z. I also have a Vox AC 15 but, as most realize, it's harsh in the highs. Any thoughts on comparing an 18 watt Prescription Jr with an old Maz 18 (pre-Mark II)? I'm looking at both online (used).
Thanks!
