I just can't seem to remember this one, so any help would be most appreciated.
I've got two cabs with different wattage speakers, that I want to run together with a PCNS "in series" Y cable. Which cab goes on the longer lead, and which goes on the short one?
Thanks for helping out this old guy. tom

Are you asking which speaker gets hit first? On a PCNS Y series Y cable the shorter cable is always # 1 Hope this helps! Todd

Yes, which speaker gets the #1 spot - higher wattage first?
Thanks Todd...

Yes, which speaker gets the #1 spot - higher wattage first? Thanks Todd... For series (one after the other), I don't think it matters. As long as the lowest wattage speaker (any of them) is still more than the output of the amp. (somebody verify if I'm right or wrong) Running in PARALLEL...where you are splitting the signal, then the rule is each speaker has to be at least 1/2 of what the amp is putting out.

Yes, which speaker gets the #1 spot - higher wattage first? Thanks Todd... To John's point, as long as both speakers are above what the amp is putting out it won't matter. If you going a Celestian blue and gold with a 30 watt amp you would want the Gold first because it can handle the higher wattage. The Dr Z Zwreck cab is wired gold first then blue for that reason. Hope that helped, God bless, Todd
