I was into my local dealer the other day to get a new mic and while there, the owner showed me the QSC touchmix 16 they’ve had in stock for a bit and he’s blowing it out at a great price...needless to say, I’m GASSING...anyone have one? The temptation is killing me!

The last mixer that I bought was a traditional Mackie fader, etc. After doing that, I've talked with folks that use mixers like the QSC and the reviews have all been pretty good. And, being that my most recent gigs were solo gigs, I can see the benefit of handing an iPad to the Mrs to do a little mixing for me. Plus, I can never get a good spot to place the mixer that's convenient for twiddling the knobs. So, that's all from an acoustic solo perspective. Band-wise they have to be great.
And, QSC makes great products. My PA system is QSC.
So, FEED THAT GAS I SAY!!!! My next mixer will one.

I have a Presonus AR16 now and it’s great but lacking a few nice features like compression and a few more aux mixes...plus the iPad control would be super cool. I’m working on a way to get it...haha

I have used that mixer...and it is pretty dang good. I have used both the 8 and 16.
I ended up buying an XR18 for my own band use, but I enjoyed the ease of the touchmix. Nice presets in there to get you up and moving quickly. If the price it right go for it.

I have the TM 16. It does a lot. It does have a learning curve Mark. It works great with the QSC speakers. Crystal clear sound.

Thanks guys...I’m picking up my new mixer on Saturday and taking it out that same night. Will report back...been obsessing over videos, the manual and the iPad app.

First gig with the new mixer...ups and a couple downs but overall, I’m very happy with this new console. It’s small, comes with a case and is very easy to navigate. I’m no sound tech so learning what to do with all this new found power. It’s basic enough that you can set it up and go and be ok yet complex enough to find it a tad overwhelming at times. Like Bill said, there’s a learning curve...if you’re versed in the art of sound tech, it’s a no brainer...for a novice like me wanting to learn the ins and outs...it will take a little time to learn how to work with all it has to offer. It’s a great piece of equipment that I definitely will enjoy for many years and gigs to come. I LOVE being able to take my iPad and go out front to mix levels. I found myself using my iPad way more than the actual mixer itself to navigate and dial in what I had to. Looking forward to learning something new!

Very cool. Once I get myself gigging again, I'm investing.

I've used my TM8 the past year with great results. It's small enough to make an easy load in and with the powered QSCs sounds fantastic. The present scene recall has been a lifesaver for using with two different bands and an acoustic trio. I can save our setup from a finished gig on the unit and recall it when we play that venue again. Super useful. My biggest gripe is lack of Android support. I have an iPad but find it doesn't always sync up to it as well as it should. I'd also mention that coming from years of faders there's something to be said for physical controls. Last comment- I'm looking for a 16 channel board and sadly nothing compares to the TM aux outs, four individual mixes, in that low price range analog or digital. I have used all four aux mixes and to go back to just two really leaves me feeling lacking. It's nice to give the singers their own mix and have one for my IEMs. Anyhow, I do like it and use it frequently. Great platform to mix on.

I think there's 8 aux channels on my TM16...6 regular XLR out and 2 stereo outs. For me, that's heaven...haha....I only had two outs on my previous mixer.
I am figuring my way around the screens quite nicely...there's so much you can do with the unit. I do miss the physical faders from time to time and have made the mistake of having one stage monitor (drummer's) cranked up too high and turning on the singer's wireless mic...I freaked and panic'd. Heavy heavy feedback! It took me a second to settle down. haha...so yeah, that's when I miss an actual fader. I was on another screen with my iPad and ended up just shutting the mic itself off rather than finding the mute for the mic. Oh well...the more I use it, the more I will settle in. I am quite happy with the mixer. No complaints here.

I’m looking at putting my band back together. We have powered mackie speakers and subs, so a simple mixer would be nice. But I’m really old-school and have used a mackie 1604 for eons, and really like physical faders and knobs. But it’s also a PITA to mix from the stage. I’ll have to think about this one.

DaddyElmis- there are a few good wireless mixers on the market. I've mixed with three of them in band situations. I bought the QSC bc I like having my whole system from the same company. The X32, Presonus and Mackie mixers are all good but have learning curves that make them less than desirable for a plug a play out of the box when you get them. Pros of most of them inlcude allowing your mates to mix their own monitors and ability to walk out front and tweak the FOH mix. Cons are system updates, app compatibility with certain devices and occasional ghosts in the machine w the mixer. My TM8 has had issues before with recalling scenes and their channel labeling which is troublesome minutes before the gig when dialing in the band. I've had to redo the preset for them which isn't the end of the world but an inconvenience. I will say it's nice to step out front and check levels and to give the other cats their own mix to deal with in their monitors. Having been able to dial in my own IEMs w a former band that ran the Mackie system, I will say it's nice to hear what you want without ticking off your buddy mixing the show.
