The title says it all
What song made you want to play?

Killer tune!
I can’t remember why I wanted to play guitar. I don’t think it was a song. I think it was just seeing my older brothers in their bands and I somehow got my folks to get me a $30 acoustic.
One of the first tunes I remember playing was the chords to Locomotive Breath.

My dad was a big old, old style country fan. Me...not so much. I remember going through a bunch of albums in the basement work shop one day. There was Earth, Wind, and Fire, Kiss, and best for me was Santana Abraxas. I remember dropping the needle on Samba Pa Ti and that was it. I had to know how he knew how to play what he was playing. That started me off wanting to play guitar and understand how it all fits together to become music.
I remember asking my dad on the albums....seemed odd for him. He said they were not his. Possibly were from a half brother who visited a lot when I was younger. After that event it became Clapton, the 3 Kings, Vai, Satriani, Django, and so on.

I specifically recall the first time I heard George Thorogood's take on Who Do You Love?
Made my dad drive me to the local used record store and the guy must have played 5 different versions until get got to the one...heh. I knew I had to get an electric guitar. I had been playing acoustic for a few years, but only because it was cooler than piano and my cool uncle gave me his old one (along with T Bone Walker tapes).

This one - or Wipe Out, it's all a fog. This made me pick up a guitar, but learning how to play Day Tripper on my own made me legit!!

Like a few others I started young because everyone in my family played something, so I chose guitar. What lit my fuse was this guy:

For me it was Van Halen (Panama/Jump (solo)). I then went backwards to discover their back catalogue

I’ve been trying to think of what song put me over the top and I can’t. It was the ‘80’s! It was cool to play!

Nothing comes to mind...no particular song. But I'm sure it was a Beatles tune. (I may have been around 5-6 years old)

Back in 1977 I specifically bought a 12 string because of this song:
And 40 years later, I'm playing a 12 string for part of my acoustic show because of it.
