How would you compare the Z Lux volume on 1/2 power to the Maz 18? I have a Maz and use a brakelite on 2 clicks most of the time. I'm looking to add a lightweight combo that has more girth than my Princeton Reverb reissue and a master volume to get a little "grit".

I guess my question should be: If I need a brakelite to tame the Maz will I need one for the Lux?

I guess my question should be: If I need a brakelite to tame the Maz will I need one for the Lux? I don't know about the Maz, but I don't use a BL with my Z-Lux ever. Not at home and certainly not at a gig. Between the half power switch and the master volume, you can always manage the ZLux volume.

I almost always have my Maz 18NR Brake Lite at 2 when I'm at home, and I never need it with the Z-Lux. I tried one with the Lux too, just to confirm. The Z-Lux is very controllable where the Maz is always begging to rock the rails. The BL is the perfect solution, I have one in both my Maz 18 and even in my Maz 8.
