I just got a used Maz 18 Jr shipped to me and it sounds great, only thing is when I turn up the cut or reverb, I get some noise. The noise from the cut is ok, but the reverb noise makes the reverb unusable. Has anyone had this problem?
Is it time to switch some tubes? check wiring?

Check V4 12AX7 , reverb recovery tube, or RCA cables from reverb tub to chassis for tight fit.

it didn't quite do it for me. I'm gonna try to get a 12AX7WA to put in there and see if it makes a difference.

The problem I had may be different from yours. There is some hiss in the Maz that you will notice more as you turn the cut up. There was a thread about this some time in the past few months. It was said that while the hiss is very obvious when you play in a quiet environment, in a live gig situation it is not as noticeable. I guess everyone has a different tolerance level for noise. Every tube amp (and some SS amps) I've ever owned has had some level of white noise. My problem with the Maz was not with this. When I turned the reverb up it sounded like ocean waves at high tide. I replaced V4 with a Fender-branded 12AX7WA that I had laying around and the ocean went away. I still have the hiss but I minimize it by keeping the cut control down. I should have been more specific in my previous post.
