I’ve been eyeing a Route 66 for ages and received Humbucker Music’s notice about time running out and, coincidentally, big discounts. I have a surf green one coming. I now have more amps than any sane person should ever need.
One think to which I look especially forward is how the amp works with humbucker pickups.

Well done. I heard one played at my local store (in the UK) a while back and it sounded awesome.

DC here! I have both the Route66 with the 2x10" cab open back and the the Z-Wreck combo - as well as an old Music Man RD-112 combo. All 3 are excellent amps - but I think my Route66 may be my fave - its an awesome unique amp with a killer sound. I think you'll love it most people do - congrats on your new amp - keep rocking Cheers: Dixiechicken

Ya done good. I used to own a 66, wished I still had it. If I had to pare down to a single Z, it would be a Rte 66. If you don't have an attenuator, you'll probably want to get one.

Congrats on the '66. Great amp. Plenty strong volume and very toneful. I've enjoyed a few moments with RT-66 thru a Z210 cab .... even shared some of my playing with the rest of the neighbourhood ..... good times indeed cheers always, Joel

I got to play it a little today. Didn't use an attenuator, so I didn't get very loud. So far, so good. I have a Z 1x12 cab with a Creamback- I'll probably open up the back tomorrow.

Spent a little more time with the Route 66. Taking out the center plank in the back of the enclosure was a good move. I expected the amp to sound great with my LP, but it sang nicely with a single coil, as well.
In recent adventures, I’ve been playing humbuckers through my ZWreck and enjoying that lately, too. I hadn’t previously warmed to that. I haven’t really faced them off against each other yet. Soon.

Dc here! I think the Route66 goes very well with a Telecaster and also a Strat guitars. The mid drich tonality of the Route66 gives a bit more body/girth to the sound of those guitars. Both the the Tele and Strat can sound a bit wee thin at times - they don't always do but... Just my two cents Keep on playing! Cheers: Dixiechicken!

Howdy,
My only Z is my prized Carmen Ghia. Late next year I'll have the $ for a new Z. Stangray..DB4..or the thick and gritty Route 66. Even the NAME Route 66 is intoxicating. I shouldn't wish we could fast-forward to '21, but...
