Tonight I paired a Texas Heat with a G12H30 in a 2x12 open back Avatar cab. It's the best I've ever heard my Therapy sound. It's got a chime that was always missing and the mids are nice and fat thanks to the Texas Heat. Dang...Why didn't I try this earlier? At any rate, it sounds really nice at low levels. My wife's sleeping so I can't crank it but I bet it's going to be nice when I do. Thought I'd toss that out there. I love it when parts come together and compliment each other in a big way!

I've also been using a Texas Heat with my Therapy for a while now. Really like it. Sounds good with a Swamp Thang too, which is a similar speaker. Never would have thought of your combination. Next time I'm up for some speaker moving I may give it a try. By the way, a combo of the Texas Heat and Creamback is sweet too.

I was blown away, Marc. I've always struggled with my Therapy lacking what I like in high end brilliance. This speaker combination really opened it up in all the right ways. I hope it sounds as good loud as it does quiet. It's a dark amp, and having been raised on a Super Reverb, the Fender bug hasn't ever quite left me. I was seriously considering putting the Therapy up for sale but now I'm not so sure. Might have to sell the Monza instead! I'm putting funds (and floor space) together for a Z-Plus. Thing is that whenever I get ready to post a for sale, I back out. I love my Z collection and I can totally understand Jaguarguy Mike's MuZeum. I won't ever get that complete, but I'm starting to get a good collection together! But I need to sell the ones that don't get used regularly and right now that would be the Monza.

That was my problem when I tried the Therapy. I found it picky about what speakers and cab you ran it through. A combo I really liked though and was a bit of the “aha” moment that made me like the amp was trying it through an Orange 212 cab. Not sure what speakers (v30s?) but it sounded like rock and roll to me.
