So I have a Maz 8 that I like, but do not love. I have a M12 Head 1x12 cab that I do love. The one thing I like about the Maz is the all in one, grab and go solution. If I were to sell both setups and get a M12 combo, what would I be missing? Also, how bad is the tube rattle from the EF86 in the combo?

Ah tube rattle. As long as you are playing gigs it will never be a problem. It seems to only come out in the basement! That and cone cry.

It's unfortunate that you can't swap the M12 chassis into your MAZ combo. That would be an easy way to go. You probably could have a suitable combo cabinet built, load up the M12 and your speaker of choice and sell the empty shells. Your MAZ is certainly worth more than the cost of a new cab.

Sell the Maz, keep the head cab, no worries about tube rattle, happy happy. So you're lugging an extra piece--big deal. You love it, right?

All very valid points, there is something special about the size of the Maz studio. I know you should not mess with a good thing, but there is always the itch to make it better

Get a Cure, then, and don't look back.
