I know it's not a Z amp, but I've always gotten great advice from the dudes of the Z community. I have a Mesa Boogie Mark IIb, made in 1980 I believe. It's not Simul-class, 60 watts only. Has Reverb, FX Loop, Graphic EQ. Currently it runs perfectly, but I can't find anything about its tube info or biasing. Are these fixed or cathode biased?

Mesa's are all fixed bias. It's one of the reasons they force you to buy their tubes, otherwise, risk voiding your warranty.
For older Boogies that were out of warranty, as long as I purchased tubes that were rated the same as the outgoing tubes, I never had to bias.

Fixed bias, which is why they recommend using mesa tubes that are screened to be the proper voltage. Give Mesa a holler. They have fantastic customer service

A few years back I asked Myles a question re power tubes for my son's Mesa amp. At that time Myles said he really liked the tubes that Mesa was putting out - all matched and good quality. But.....those amps are heavy!!

Do you know what the two 1/4" jacks on the under side of the chassis are for? Tthey aren't labeled, but since you played Mesas for a while I figured you'd know. Heres a picture from the listing when I bought it, it shows one of the jacks, I circled it in red.

If you use a shielded footswitch, you can use it to toggle the Reverb and Graphic EQ On/Off. That was the workaround before the advent of MIDI cables... That amp has to sound killer...

And yeah, it does sound pretty great! I play a lot of slide nowadays and it NAILS that Skydog/Derek Trucks tone

I have a MK1 and I moved that jack to the back panel using a hole that was predrilled from the factory. Mine controls the "gain boost", an early version of the tone stack bypass.
I agree about Mesa tubes, although I have NOS Sylvania 6L6's in mine. I have a pair of new Mesa tubes as spares. The amp runs great on either set.
