Gig last week at Piacere in San Carlos. Using my Monza Head and Z 1x12 convert. cab. People seem to like when we play The Power of Love. Here's a little clip of it (the end is cut off but we do a medley of a bunch of other songs in there). Excuse the clams in the beginning and the bridge where I totally lost my brain and was watching the bass player. All those wrong notes/chords are from me, so don't blame the bass! Haha

Are you keeping that Monza relatively clean by using low volume or by turning down the volume knob on your guitar?

This Monza head has the MV on it and I never take it above 9 PM on the MV. The Vol and drive i don't take above noon, but I do lower them a bit if I want a "cleaner" tone. When I first got the amp I was using my Vol knob to clean it up, but for some reason it cut the gain way back and made it sound less vibrant and almost like a blanket was on the amp, so I stopped doing that (might need a different knob pot). Using this guitar in the neck pickup (strat style with lollar pickups) it seems to clean up pretty well; gets nastier if I used the bridge Humbucker. If I used my LP it gets pretty raunchy. Everyone says the Monza is a one-trick pony, but you know I have a different experience than that. And I'm happy with that experience!
