Drove out to Elmhurst Illinois from DeKalb today and picked up a Ghia head (labeled 2012 but I need to research the serial number) for $675.00... with tax! I've put a couple old NOS tubes in, run her clean and with my Ethos and... I believe I got a hell of a deal!
Now I have to sell my Maz GT head or the Mrs will start to wonder why there's no room in the basement anymore...

Need to get some shelves to stack the amps. You'll be so organised you, it will look like you already rotated a few out to make way for a few more. Enjoy that new amp!

that Ghia isn't very big . . . .she'll hardly notice it My wife knows exactly what Z amps smell like, she can sense another one in the house that wasn't there before. Don't know how...she just knows. |

My Tele's are either Blonde, butterscotch or black, so she won't notice when I get a new one. Although that didn't work out so well. Just confess to her that it is a sickness! |

That's great! I love it when deals like this happen. It happened once to me, I picked up a minty 1967 Deluxe Reverb at a local pawn shop for $250 out the door back in 2000. When I saw it I thought immediately, "It's a reissue" but it was a real deal with original tubes to boot.
Keep your eyes open, the deals do exist.

My friend, that's the odor of the bulls*** that we tell our wives when we try to cover up a new purchase. I don't know how, but the female olfactory senses are keenly sensitive to that smell. |
