Cure 2x12 (G12H30 in external cab) with T2HB, dirt pedal and delay. It screams, it wails, it's nasty, it's rich, it's big, and it's dang near bedroom volume. Just a killer amp.

Might have to get me one of those matching Mather cabs, unless Doc's going to start making one.

The harmonics jumping out of this thing are other-worldly. Most of that gets lost in a band setting, but man--what fun. It's like driving a really great little two-seater on a winding country road at night with the headlights off.

Have fun Jon, but move the CURE away from the wall a bit. Z

Thanks, will do. It's out about 8 inches--a little further than it looks. But will scoot it a bit more.

Where else would you get this kind of advice direct from the builder? Nowhere, is where.

Looks like it's all a fella would need! Now all we need is some clips, Jon!

Three minutes of noodling over a backing track. Recorded into Garage Band using a Blue Yeti USB mic set back about 6 feet. Playing's pretty rough in spots but you get the idea, tone-wise.

Nice bluesy demo Jon. Really shows the Tweedy like tones the CURE is capable of. I really liked the photo shots, especially Father Guido.

Holy flea bites batman .... that was KILLER ! Great playing. Great tone. Rough spots ?? I didn't hear no rough spots.
One suggestion... should have left Ginger and Mary Ann on screen a bit longer. I had to pause it there which kinda messed up the flow of the very nice blues licks. Come to think of it, your amp cabs remind me of Ginger and Mary Ann.

Nice tones! Is that all Cure or were you pushing it with a pedal?
And....Ginger. Just sayin'.

Thanks--maybe I should just do a Ken Burns Ginger and Mary Ann montage next time. I think for a mostly blues guy, on a tune like this, my tendency is to play too many notes. Also my timing's a little loose here and there. But at least I sound good, tone-wise.

Nice tone sounds really good. The only thing It could have used was more cowbell! Just kidding when I saw Will Farrell in your clip thats all I could think of! But man what a nice tweddy tone.

Thanks Lou! That's kind of a weird jazzy/rockabilly-esque lick I started throwing in here and there--it's basically just playing the three notes of a Gm chord (in G), using the cowboy Dm shape, and walking it down to F#m, Fm, to Em and then back to your G. The bass player always gives me kind of a sharp look when I toss that one out, which is fun.

MmmmHmmm, that there is some blues. Very tasty, Jon. I'm a little late to the party but I just ordered my Cure today. Can't wait for Tuesday.
Thanks for sharing some killer licks. I forgot any clams you may have played when I saw Mary Ann.

What's the problem with the cure being up against the wall? I'm in a small room myself and wouldn't have the space to move it out from the wall.
